About the Job.

Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home, an 82-bed retirement home, based in the town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

We are recruiting a candidate based locally, able to work full-time( 40 hours per week) with at least 6 months UK base experience in a similar position

Key responsibilities;

  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living.
  • Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional, and spiritual.
  • Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.
  • Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed.
  • Assist in the framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre.
  • Answer the Nurse Call system, assisting as required.
  • Answer the door and telephone appropriately.
  • Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly.
  • Report on the well-being of Residents.
  • Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc.

Requirements;

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
