We are seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join the team at Bethanie Gwelup located in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Bethanie Gwelup is a 112-bed modern aged care home fitted with the latest in modern conveniences and has been designed specifically to create a homely feel for our residents & staff alike.
All Registered Nurses who commence at Bethanie will participate in the RN Mentoring Program. The purpose of the program is to support your onboarding experience and help you transition into life at Bethanie. You will learn essential knowledge and skills and receive support from your mentor.
Key responsibilities;
- Take immediate action to ensure nursing care is delivered safely and effectively providing direction to enrolled nurses and care workers.
- Complete assessment and/or admission requirements.
- Ensure care plan changes reflect any change in the care recipient’s condition.
- Maintain an effective referral system for senior nursing staff, medical staff, and/or allied health staff.
- Ensure that clinical records reflect care, in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements.
- Provide coaching/mentoring/training to staff where required.
Requirements;
- Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical experience in aged care, including a solid understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
- Previous experience with dementia care would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and professionally.
- Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently use clinical information systems.
- Commitment to a person-centered care approach when providing care services.
