Job Title: Rehabilitation Counselor – Adult Residential

What are the requirements?
Candidates must have the equivalent of a US undergraduate degree (or greater) in one of the following fields:
- Basic Education or Special Education (cannot be in a specific field such as Social Studies, Chemistry, English, etc.)
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Social Work
- Counseling
CV and copy of diploma must be provided.
Candidates must also be able to read, write and speak the English language competently.
Candidates would be responsible for their own transportation to the US.

What is included in the sponsorship program?
In addition to meaningful full-time employment, temporary housing will be provided by a host for an initial four weeks.

Rehabilitation Counselors are part of the behavioral support team, providing supervision, guidance, instruction, skill building, and/or rehabilitation to assigned persons served within a specific site regarding daily living activities, safety, vocational activities, and interaction with others.
How You Can Make a Real Impact:
- Monitor, engage, and provide skill building through basic education and development, behavioral support, outreach support, and advocacy to those supported and their families to facilitate greater independence.
- Ensuring that the individuals served are supported vocationally to lead emotionally and physically healthy lifestyles.
- Complete paperwork and communicate with residents, families, and guardians.
- Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and community outings.
