The Roles
The Business Systems and Operations (BSO) Discipline is seeking to appoint a teaching and research focused Associate Professor (ALEVD) or Professor (ALEVE) of Information Systems.

The Business Systems and Operations Discipline (BSO) within the School of Business and Law is comprised of high performing, scholarly and impact-oriented academics who seek to transform lives and enrich society through their research, teaching and engagement activities. The profile of the BSO Discipline encompasses programs and specialisations in management information systems, supply chain and logistics management, business analytics and project management.

Successful appointees will demonstrate capability in undertaking high-quality, engaging research that meaningfully contributes to business practice and creates a positive societal impact. They will have an excellent track-record of providing a learner-centred pedagogy that is supportive and inclusive of diverse groups of people, with a large focus on advancing work-integrated learning and job-ready skills. Academics within the School and Discipline hold the legacy, achievements and values of Edith Dircksey Cowan close to their heart. Associate Professor ALEVD
Applicants must have a PhD in Information Systems or related discipline and be teaching and research active with a demonstrable track record of external research funding, publications in top-tier international journals as well as having timely completion of supervised HDR students. Candidates will also need to demonstrate their strive for excellence, their growing reputation in the field and their innovative and inspiring scholarship approach. The successful applicant will have a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to circumstances, by consulting and liaising confidently with senior-level stakeholders. Demonstrable experience in liaising with external bodies, both nationally and internationally, ensuring compliance with numerous frameworks and policies is also highly desirable. Professor ALEVE
In addition to the criteria at Associate Professor’s level, to be appointed at Professor level (ALEVE), candidates need to demonstrate international leadership in the discipline with a reputation of being a recognised expert in the field; relevant service on editorial boards of top-tier international journals across the Accounting discipline; a track record of substantial external research funding with successful project completion and impactful outcomes; relevant experience of building national and international research teams as well as mentoring junior academics in the discipline. Reporting to the Associate Dean Discipline (ADD BSO), the successful applicant will lead and encourage an environment of creativity and innovation in the discipline, by engaging with the broader academic and professional community, and promote and enhance the national and international profile of the discipline, School, and the University. Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, ongoing position attracts a salary of $160,672 – $176,649 (Level D), $205,952 (Level E) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.

Visa sponsorship and/or a relocation package may be negotiated for suitably qualified international and interstate candidates.
