Reporting to the Technology Service Operations Manager, the Technology Operations Support Manager oversees planning, warehousing, pricing, and invoicing for WesTrac’s Technology group, aiming to enhance business outcomes.
The successful individual will enhance service efficiency and cost-effectiveness through planning system development and process improvements. Ensuring robust plans adaptable to WesTrac’s operating model, the role is responsible for forecasting resources and materials, and managing end to end customer work orders while maintaining high standard of customer experience, in line with WesTrac’s cost recovery policies.
The Technology Operations Support Manager will lead teams, drive system and process enhancements, and cultivate a safe, productive, and enjoyable work culture. Responsibilities also include integrating resource planning with sales and machine delivery schedules, refining processes with Parts Inventory, managing the Technology Warehouse safely and efficiently, and improving processes between WesTrac and Caterpillar.

Roster: Monday – Friday, 9.5 hour days
To be successful the following is required:
- Possess tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, or engineering; OR equivalent credentials in mining, equipment maintenance, or planning
- Hold OEM training and expertise in the mining equipment supply chain and service industry
- Demonstrate continuous improvement certifications such as CPS, Agile, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies
- Offer extensive relevant experience in service management, maintenance planning, or supply chain, particularly in mining equipment sales or product support
- Caterpillar equipment and knowledge of DBSi & IDS, Caterpillar systems (SiS DBS, etc.), Caterpillar technologies (MineStar, etc.) is seen as highly desirable
- Experience in client/contractor relationship management
- Exhibit familiarity with various Asset Management Tools, ideally AMT
- Showcase strong mathematical and analytical skills for precise data analysis, interpretation, and comparison, adept at compiling targeted reports and providing actionable recommendation
- Demonstrate past success in project management and planning
- Possess advanced computer literacy, proficient in MS Office and internet-based applications
- Display exceptional communication skills across written, verbal, and interpersonal channels
- Show advanced abilities in time management, planning, and organisation, capable of handling multiple priorities to achieve objectives
- Excel in working collaboratively across functional departments and autonomously
