About the Job.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Wellcome Short Stay unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse.
The Wellcome Short Stay Unit is a 31-bed multi-specialty short stay unit, which is open Monday – Sunday. The unit cares for both elective admissions and supports the capacity of the trust. Specialties that utilize the unit include neurosurgery, neurology, breast, hands, plastics, liver, renal, general surgery, trauma and orthopedics, maxillo-facial & ear, nose, and throat.
Shift patterns are varied and include short days, long days, weekends, and nights.
We would welcome applicants with excellent organizational and communication skills who can act as role models and deputize for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to lead a great and supportive team in an ever-expanding and exciting service.
