About the Job.
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We support around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide-ranging and bespoke to each family including end-of-life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counseling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits, and much much more. It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government sources.
We are seeking 3 qualified and experienced children’s nurses to join our Care Team. Working as part of our clinical team, you will provide and ensure a high standard of holistic care to children with life-limiting/life-threatening conditions, including opportunities for children to experience play, social interaction, and learning. You will deliver child-focused, family-centered palliative and end-of-life care, alongside members of the interdisciplinary team.
From 1st April 2022, all direct care provision and/or close contact roles at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice require full COVID vaccination as a Condition of Deployment. The role of the Nurse falls into this category
