Caloundra Private Day Hospital is on the lookout for devoted and skilled Ophthalmology Perioperative Nurses to be part of a dynamic team providing ophthalmology care for our Sunshine Coast community.
Our Day Surgery unit is undergoing renovations with state-of-the-art theatres and equipment to expand our surgical services. We are searching for experienced Perioperative Nurses specialized in ophthalmology Scrub/scouts, Anaesthetics, and PACU to join us in this exciting growth!
The Day Surgery Unit is acclaimed for its unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care, enhancing the patient experience through superior nursing during their perioperative journey.
Key responsibilities;
- Maintaining a high level of nursing care for all patients within the day surgery unit.
- Monitoring the condition of patients during procedures and reporting changes to the relevant manager and Anaesthetist / Surgeon / Physician.
- Commitment to relevant and continued professional education.
Requirements;
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years relevant nursing experience in an acute setting (including surgical) / perioperative environment desirable.
- Recent ophthalmology experience (1 year minimum) is desirable.
- Any post-graduate perioperative qualifications will be well regarded.
- Excellent understanding of infection prevention and control principles.
- Willingness to work in a cohesive and caring team.
