Job Description: As a Palliative Care Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex palliative care needs. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of holistic, person-centered care that meets the individual needs and preferences of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to patients in the palliative care unit.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for patients with complex needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, identifying any changes in condition and taking appropriate action.
  • Offer emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and compassionate care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care and progress.
  • Adhere to infection control and health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in palliative care nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful completion of IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
  • Completion of CBT (Computer-Based Test) as part of the NMC registration process.
  • Hold an NMC decision letter.
  • Not from a red list country (subject to current travel restrictions).
