Job Title: Theatre Scrub Practitioner/Nurse – Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship Available
Job Summary: As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner/Nurse, you will play a vital role in our surgical department, providing high-quality patient care during operative procedures. You will be responsible for preparing the operating theatre, assisting the surgical team, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgeries, providing appropriate instruments, sterile drapes, and other required items
- Scrub in and perform sterile gowning and gloving for surgical procedures
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean and sterile environment throughout the surgical process
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and positive surgical outcomes
- Document and maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
Requirements:
- Valid Nursing qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Theatre Scrub Practitioner/Nurse experience in a hospital setting
- Successful completion of IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- Completion of the Computer-Based Training (CBT) assessment
- Possession of an NMC decision letter
- Not from a country on the UK government’s red list
