Job Title: Theatre Clinical & Quality Lead

The salary for this permanent Theatre Clinical & Quality Lead job is £54,000 – £56,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

• Utilise your clinical expertise to provide hands-on clinical support to the theatre team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
• Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality improvement, and governance within the Theatre Department, constituting 50% of your role.
• Collaborate closely with our theatre team to cultivate a culture of excellence, teamwork, and efficiency.
• Deputise for the Theatre Manager, ensuring the seamless continuation of theatre services and maintaining our commitment to high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements of the Theatre Clinical & Quality Lead:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree.
• The ideal candidate should be a registered healthcare professional with a background in surgery or a related field, ensuring they have a strong clinical foundation.
• Surgical First Assistant (SFA) Qualification: Essential for this role, the candidate must hold an SFA qualification, demonstrating their ability to provide expert clinical assistance during surgical procedures.
• Extensive experience working within a theatre or surgical setting
• Problem-solving skills are necessary for conducting audits, root cause analyses, and developing quality improvement strategies.
