Job Title: Band 3 Theatre Support Assistant-Podiatric Surgery
Location: Birmingham, UK
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Main duties, tasks & skills required
Theatre support worker – To set up theatre at the beginning of the list, ensuring correct equipment and sets are available. To open supplementary items using aseptic technique, theatre knowledge essential.
To complete specimen documentation and ensure these are collected by courier.
Assist with outpatient clinics – dressing clinics, pre-operative clinics.
Ordering of stock and non stock items, following training on IPROC.
To liaise with the surgical team and patients pre-operatively and post operatively. Good communication is essential
Documenting of notes when care is given to patients using electronic notes. IT skills essential.
All training will be provided.
