The Centre’s Technology Enhanced Learning team promotes, develops and supports the use of technology in teaching across the University. Blackboard Learn is the hub of our integrated digital learning ecosystem which includes Turnitin, Yuja, Ally and MS Teams. We are currently transitioning to Blackboard Learn Ultra for 2024/25.
We are seeking a Technology Enhanced Learning Systems Manager to join our well-respected, friendly, and dynamic and team. This role is key to ensuring that our digital learning systems provide and support a practical, high-quality and inclusive learning experience for students, teaching staff, and professional services staff.
Job Title: Technology Enhanced Learning Systems Manager
Location: Reading RG6
Salary: £45,585 – £56,021 a year
You will have overall responsibility for the front-end operational management, development and continuous improvement of our digital learning systems (advanced programming skills not required). Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders, you will lead on developing and maintaining operational processes and workflows that underpin use of our digital learning systems. Using excellent technical understanding combined with a strong appreciation of end-user perspectives and the user experience, you will co-ordinate testing of new functionality and features, evaluate their impact and potential, and make recommendations.
You will:
- Have experience of front-end operational management of digital learning systems.
- Have experience of working in Higher/Further Education.
- Be able to interpret educational objectives and translate into technical solutions.
- Be able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Enjoy team-working and be detail-orientated.
