We are looking for two full-time Trailer Mechanic’s Helpers to start as soon as possible.

Location: Vaughan, ON

Pay: $26.06 an hour

Job Duties:

Trailer Mechanic’s Helper will perform minor component repair or replacement and assist with the removal, replacement, and repair of major components and other duties under the direction of a lead technician or supervisor. On-the-job training is provided. The job duties are:

• Assist in performing all aspects of preventive maintenance on trucks and other mechanical repairs and replacements, as well as routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Assist in removing, replacing or adjusting the following: brakes, wheels, minor electrical repairs, cab components and accessories, minor trailer maintenance such as doors, wheel seals, etc.; tightening bolts and screws and reassembling equipment.
• Raise trucks and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety, following the company’s safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. Follow our standard work order process and procedures, ensuring detailed, accurate and timely records.
• All customer service duties as necessary.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
